Once you have a cat, you have to turn your attention to what food bowl you think would be best for your budget and circumstances.  It is well worth doing some research into what food bowl would suit you and your cat’s lifestyle before purchasing one.

It is well made, and having two bowls means that wet and dry food can be separated if you wish, or you could place food in one and water in the other.  The bowls themselves are easy to remove and clean, which can save you a great deal of trouble.

Whilst this item is more expensive than other cat food bowls on the market, it lasts for a long time, so it is really worth spending the extra money on if you want to purchase a product that is built for the long term.

If you want to purchase a more stylish food bowl, but do not want to purchase the above model, the No Bend Pet Bowl would be great for you.  The product has two bowls, with a handle in between the two, making it easy to pick up and put down, thus it is a great choice for anyone who has mobility issues.  When you place the item on the floor, there is little risk of food or water spilling out of the bowls.  The bowls are suitable for both wet and dry food.

Another possibility is the AEMIAO Melamine Cat Bowl, which is a food bowl with ears shaped like a cat’s sticking out of it.  Each bowl can hold 250ml (8oz) of food.  The rubber inserts on the bottom mean that the bowl is less likely to slip once it has been placed on the floor, so it is safer for your cat.  It is very easy to clean, so can be very time-saving.  It can even be placed in the dishwasher.

 

Other food bowls

Some people consider that they do not need to purchase a fancy bowl for their cat, which is perfectly understandable.  If your cat does not have any special dietary requirements, or you do not wish to purchase a more stylish bowl, there are some lower priced alternatives, which would be fine for your needs.

The bowl can even be placed in the microwave so that you can warm your cat’s food if you wish, but you must be very careful that the food is not too hot for your cat.  You can also save money by purchasing this product because the need to buy three separate bowls is diminished.

If your cat spills food all over the floor when it eats, the miaosun cat bowl would be the right choice because of its W-shaped base which prevents the food from going onto the floor, where it has to be cleaned up.  It has a large base, making it stable and hygienic for your cat.  The product has two bowls that can be used for food and water, or wet and dry food can be separated if you wish.  The bowls themselves are removable and easy to clean.

Another option is the Sportsgirls Pet Cat Bowl.  It comes in a set of two, meaning that wet and dry food can be placed in separate bowls, or you can decide to place water in one bowl, and food in the other.  The choice is yours.  This bowl does not retain the odour of the food so the smell does not permeate around the room.

Conclusion

There are many different food bowls on the market, and it can be tempting to simply buy a food bowl and then begin to believe a different type would have been a better option.   If your cat is happy and healthy, or you only have one cat, I am sure that the food bowl you have bought would suffice.

If, however, you have more than one cat, your cat becomes ill for any reason, or you begin to suffer from mobility issues, I would then recommend purchasing a cat food bowl that offers more options.
